Hidden Features Most Trainers Miss
NuPalz is full of little secrets: keyboard shortcuts nobody announces, mechanics the dashboard never explains, and perks that quietly stack. Everything below was checked against the game's code on September 18, 2026. Veteran trainers know some of these by heart. Now you will too.
Site-Wide Keyboard Shortcuts
Press ? Where the Shortcut Module Loads
The Dashboard, the Games hub, the Battlegrounds and the other pages that share the site header load a small keyboard module. Press Shift + ? and it lists what it knows: h Home, d Dashboard, g Games, b Battlegrounds, m Marketplace, / focus search, f open the feedback form, Esc close whatever is open, and on the Dashboard p pets your active companion.
Typing Race Refuses Paste
Ctrl + V in the typing box does nothing but show a toast: "Pasting is disabled - type it yourself!" That is the whole anti-cheat, and it is why the leaderboard means something.
Game-Specific Keys
Tower Defense
Space starts the next wave, P pauses, 1 2 3 set the game speed, and with a placed tower selected U upgrades it and S sells it.
Nutopia Republica
P pauses, Space cycles the game speed, U upgrades the selected building, Ctrl + Z undoes your last placement, and ? opens the game's own shortcut overlay.
Premium Slots
Space or Enter spins, ↑ ↓ change the bet, ← → change paylines, M is max bet and A toggles Auto Spin. NuPalz Slots has no keys; its buttons do the same jobs.
Everything Else
Zephyra's Flight answers Space or ↑, Fishing answers Space or Enter, Phantom Shift answers Space, and in Chess and Toe-Tac-Tic F toggles fullscreen. Memory Match, Reaction Test and Number Puzzle are mouse and touch only.
What the Care Bars Actually Do
Mood Multiplies EXP
Ecstatic 1.10x, happy 1.05x, content 1.00x, sad 0.90x, depressed 0.80x. It never touches NP.
Hunger Drains HP
At zero hunger your pal loses HP until fed. Hunger does not change EXP or NP.
Petting Is Free
Each pet adds 3 to 8 happiness with a 45-second cooldown. Toys from your inventory add more.
Soup Kitchen Has a Door Policy
The free daily meal is for trainers holding under 100,000 NP, once a day.
Hidden Features Worth Discovering
These exist in the game and most trainers never find them. Click to reveal:
Skipper wakes at 13 skips. At Skipper's Lake, a throw of 13 or more skips wakes the Eternal Dreamer and starts the real rewards. Your pal's level adds 0.1 skips per 10 levels (up to +10 at level 1,000), and a 5% lucky roll adds 3 to 7 skips on top.
NP converts to PP in the sidebar. The sidebar's NP balance opens a converter: 250,000 NP buys 1 Premium Point. Slow, but it is play turning into PP.
Session vs. lifetime stats in both slot games. The stats bar shows your current session by default. Click it and it swaps to your all-time spins, wins, biggest win and total wagered. Both games also have Auto Spin and 1, 2 or 3 paylines; NuPalz Slots pays NP and Premium Slots pays Gemz.
Random events on page load. Any NuPalz page has a small chance of triggering a random event the moment it opens. They are not on a timer; opening the site is the whole trick.
Perks That Stack
Achievement Shop Perks (spent in AP)
EXP Boost I (+5% EXP from all sources, 200 AP) and II (+10%, 400 AP, needs I), NP Boost I (+5% NP from games, 200 AP) and II (+10%, 400 AP, needs I), Kindred Spirit (+1 Bond from every game, 300 AP) and Restful Slumber (+10% EXP while resting, 250 AP). They are permanent.
Guild Perks Stack on Top
A guild can hold EXP Boost I through IV (5%, 10%, 15%, 25% for every member) and a Shop Discount (5% off NPC shop purchases, applied automatically at checkout). The shop discount adds to any personal shop-discount perk rather than replacing it. The Gemz Emporium's "+25% EXP from Battles" boost is separate again and only counts in the Battlegrounds.
Checked Against the Code, September 18, 2026
Everything above was read from the game's source. Things that are not in it, whatever you may have read elsewhere: a night mode, an adoption-anniversary reward, mood-based recolouring of your pal, an achievement celebration animation, double-click-to-use in the inventory, a "Haggler" perk, swipe-to-dismiss on notifications, and a theme picker.
