Feature Spotlight: The Battle Pass — Every XP Source, Both Reward Tracks
Here's the nicest thing about the Battle Pass: you're already earning it. Every game you submit, every battle you win, every daily quest you clear, every time you log in or feed a companion is quietly dropping XP into a season-long reward track — whether you're watching it or not. Where the Guild Hall multiplies your play socially, the Battle Pass rewards it directly, turning the normal grind into a second stream of loot. This spotlight lays out exactly how it works: the two reward tracks, and the full list of everything that earns you XP.
What the Battle Pass Is
The Battle Pass is a seasonal progression track. As you earn XP, you climb through tiers, and each tier hands you a reward. The clever part is that there are two parallel lanes running up that track: a free lane every player is on automatically, and a premium lane you can unlock. The free lane alone gives you real rewards for simply playing through the season — the premium lane adds a second reward at every tier on top. It's built so that the baseline is genuinely worthwhile and the upgrade is a straightforward “more of the same, doubled.”
- Two reward tracks — a free lane for everyone, plus an optional premium lane that adds a second reward at each tier.
- You earn XP just by playing — ten everyday activities feed the track, no special “battle pass mode” to switch on.
- Climb tiers, claim rewards — each tier you reach unlocks its reward (or rewards, with premium) to claim.
- Unlock premium for 200 PP — a one-time Premium Points cost that opens the premium lane for the whole season.
- Every season is its own track — a fresh set of tiers and rewards each season, so there's always a new one to climb.
The XP Economy: What Actually Earns You Progress
This is the part worth memorizing, because it tells you where your progress really comes from. Ten activities award Battle Pass XP, and they run from “big deliberate wins” down to “things you'd do anyway.” Here's the complete list:
Read that list and the optimal routine writes itself. The weekly quest is the single biggest chunk on the board at 200 XP, so it's the one thing you never want to leave unclaimed. Right behind it, clearing all your dailies is worth 100 XP on top of the 50 each individual daily already paid — a real bonus for finishing the set instead of cherry-picking. And the little passive drips — the 25 for logging in, the 20 and 15 for waking and feeding your companions — are XP for things a caring trainer does every single day anyway.
The XP table is deliberately front-loaded toward routine. A trainer who logs in, feeds their crew, clears the day's quests, and knocks out the weekly is banking hundreds of XP a week without ever “grinding the Battle Pass” as a separate chore. That's the whole design: it pays you for showing up, the same way the Daily Bonus streak does. Miss days and you leave the biggest rewards on the track; show up steadily and the season climbs itself.
Free vs. Premium: Is the Upgrade Worth It?
Both lanes climb the exact same XP you're already earning — unlocking premium doesn't make you level faster, it makes each level pay more. For a one-time 200 PP, the premium lane switches on a second reward at every tier for the rest of the season, so the more of the track you climb, the more that unlock returns. The math is simple: if you're a casual player who dips in now and then, the free lane is genuinely generous and there's no pressure to pay. If you play through most of a season anyway, premium turns all that XP you were going to earn regardless into roughly twice the loot. Not sure where Premium Points come from or how to stock up efficiently first? Our guide to Premium Points covers exactly that.
Whichever lane you're on, the move is the same: keep doing the things you already enjoy — take your crew into Battlegrounds for those 100-XP PvP wins, work the crafting bench for 30 a craft, clear your dailies — and let the season track fill up behind you. The Battle Pass doesn't ask you to play differently. It just finally pays you for how you were already playing.
