Premium Points Explained: Packs, Bonus Tiers, and Smart Spending
Premium Points (PP) are NuPalz's premium currency. While NP is earned through gameplay and keeps the daily economy running, PP unlock exclusive items, rare species variants, and premium features that NP alone can't buy. Whether you're picking up your first pack or deciding between the Value and the Elite, here's everything you need to know about how PP work and where they go furthest.
What Are Premium Points?
PP are a separate currency from NP (NuPalz Points). NP is earned by playing games, completing daily activities, and participating in events. PP are purchased directly or earned through select achievements. The two currencies exist side by side — NP handles everyday needs like feeding, items, and basic training, while PP unlock premium content that sits above the standard economy.
Quick Distinction
NP = earned through gameplay. PP = purchased or earned through achievements. Both matter, but they buy different things. You'll never be forced to spend PP on something NP can cover.
All 6 PP Packs
PP are available in six packs, each with increasing bonus amounts at higher tiers. The bonus is free PP added on top of the base amount — the larger the pack, the higher the percentage bonus.
Pricing Premium Points Packs
| Pack | Price | Base PP | Bonus | Total PP | PP per $1 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $0.99 | 25 | 0 | 25 | 25.3 |
| Basic | $1.99 | 50 | +5 | 55 | 27.6 |
| Value | $4.99 | 150 | +25 | 175 | 35.1 |
| Premium | $9.99 | 375 | +75 | 450 | 45.0 |
| Elite | $24.99 | 1,000 | +250 | 1,250 | 50.0 |
| Legendary | $49.99 | 2,500 | +750 | 3,250 | 65.0 |
The math is straightforward: bigger packs give you significantly more PP per dollar. The Starter pack gives you 25.3 PP per dollar spent. The Legendary pack gives you 65.0 PP per dollar — more than 2.5x the value. If you know you'll be spending PP regularly, buying one larger pack is always better value than multiple smaller ones.
Best Value
The Legendary pack ($49.99 for 3,250 PP) is the best PP-per-dollar ratio by a wide margin. The Elite pack ($24.99 for 1,250 PP) is a strong middle ground if you want significant PP without the full commitment. Below that, the Value pack ($4.99 for 175 PP) hits a noticeable efficiency jump from the Basic tier.
How Subscription Tiers Interact with PP
Your subscription tier doesn't directly change PP pack pricing or amounts, but it does affect how much value you get out of the PP economy through NP multipliers, bank interest rates, and monthly PP allowances. Here's how the tiers stack up:
| Tier | Monthly Price | PP/Month | NP Multiplier | Bank Interest |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 0 | 1x | 0% |
| Starter | $2.99 | ~180 | 1x | +5% |
| Plus | $4.99 | ~180 | 1.1x | +10% |
| Explorer | $6.99 | ~360 | 1.2x | +15% |
| Premium | $9.99 | ~360 | 1.3x | +20% |
| Champion | $12.99 | ~720 | 1.4x | +25% |
| Champion+ | $14.99 | ~720 | 1.45x | +30% |
| Legend | $24.99 | ~1,440 | 1.5x | +35% |
Subscribers at higher tiers earn passive PP monthly. A Legend subscriber gets roughly 1,440 PP per month included in their subscription — that's comparable to buying the Elite pack every month but bundled with all the other Legend benefits (1.5x NP multiplier, 35% bank interest, 30 AI chat sessions).
Strategy Subscription + Packs Combined
- Free players can still buy PP packs to access premium items. Packs aren't tier-gated.
- Mid-tier subscribers (Explorer–Premium) get enough monthly PP for casual premium spending. Buy a pack on top if you're saving for something specific.
- Legend subscribers receive ~1,440 PP/month passively. Combined with a Legendary pack purchase, that's nearly 5,000 PP in a single month — enough for almost any premium item or species variant.
Where to Spend PP
PP unlock premium content that NP can't buy. The main spending categories include:
- Rare species variants — Alternate color schemes and visual styles for your palz that are only available through PP. These are cosmetic but highly visible in Battlegrounds and on your profile.
- Premium items — Training boosters, evolution catalysts, and exclusive accessories that enhance gameplay or speed up progression.
- Gacha Capsules (premium tier) — The premium Gacha machine uses PP instead of NP, with significantly better odds for rare pulls. Check our Gacha strategy guide for the full odds breakdown.
- Premium Slots — PP-based slot machine with higher payout ceilings than the NP version. See our Premium Slots strategy guide for optimal bet sizing.
- Marketplace premium listings — Some marketplace items from other players are listed in PP rather than NP, especially high-rarity items.
Spending Priority
Rare species variants and evolution catalysts hold their value and are permanent additions to your collection. Premium consumables (boosters, training items) are useful but temporary. If you're on a budget, prioritize permanent items over consumables.
PP vs NP: When to Use Which
A common question from new trainers is when to use PP instead of NP. The rule is simple:
- Use NP for: Daily needs — feeding, basic items, standard Gacha pulls, game entry fees, marketplace shopping for common items, and bank deposits for interest income.
- Use PP for: Premium-exclusive content — rare variants, premium Gacha, premium items, and anything explicitly labeled as PP-only in the marketplace or store.
NP and PP don't convert between each other. You can't exchange NP for PP or vice versa. This keeps the two economies separate and prevents NP inflation from devaluing premium purchases.
Annual Billing and PP Value
If you're subscribing for the PP allowance as part of your tier benefits, annual billing saves significantly. For example, the Legend tier is $24.99/month or $249.99/year — roughly two months free. Over a year, that's approximately 17,280 PP from subscription alone at the annual rate, compared to buying the equivalent in Legendary packs (which would cost ~$265).
For most regular players, the subscription's monthly PP combined with the NP multiplier and bank interest provides more total value than buying PP packs directly. Packs are best for one-time purchases when you need a burst of PP for something specific.
