Feature Spotlight: The Healing Springs — Restore Your Palz for Free
A hard-fought Battlegrounds match leaves your companions battered. Their HP is low, and you'd rather not wait around or spend to fix it. That's exactly what the Healing Springs are for — ancient waters blessed with restorative magic, where injured palz are brought back to health at no cost. If Sybil's Soup Kitchen keeps your palz fed, the Springs keep them whole. Here's how this quietly essential feature works, and how to get the most from its two options.
What the Healing Springs Is
The Healing Springs is a restoration spot in Nutopia where you bring companions whose HP has taken a beating — from Battlegrounds losses, tough fights, and the wear of competition — and the waters restore their health. It costs no NP; the only thing gating it is a cooldown. Think of it as the team's free recovery room: it's not about earning, it's about keeping your roster ready to fight again.
- Free, always — healing at the Springs never costs NP.
- Two options — a light, roster-wide heal and a deep, single-companion heal.
- Cooldown-gated — each option recharges on its own timer, then you can use it again.
- Restores HP — gets injured companions back toward (or all the way to) full health.
Soothing Waters vs. Deep Restoration
The two options are built for two different jobs, and knowing which is which is the whole skill of using the Springs well.
Soothing Waters heals all of your companions at once, restoring a portion of each pal's missing HP — a moderate refresh across the whole team rather than a full cure. Its cooldown is short: once an hour. That makes it your steady maintenance heal — pop in between sessions to keep everyone topped up.
Deep Restoration fully restores a single companion you choose, taking your selected pal all the way back to maximum HP. Because it's so powerful, it's limited to once per day. Save it for the companion that needs it most — your battered frontline tank, or your star battler heading into a big ranked match.
The two cooldowns are independent, so the smart routine is to lean on Soothing Waters often — it's available every hour to keep the whole roster healthy — and hold Deep Restoration in reserve for the one pal that truly needs a complete heal before it matters. Light and frequent for the team; deep and deliberate for the star.
When You'll Reach for the Springs
Any time your companions have taken damage and you want them ready again without spending. The most common moment is right after Battlegrounds — win or lose, battles cost HP, and a quick visit to the Springs gets your team back to fighting shape before the next queue. Keeping companions healthy is part of caring for them well, the same way feeding them is; our companion care and evolution guide covers the bigger picture of raising a strong, happy roster.
Between the Soup Kitchen and the Healing Springs, Nutopia makes sure two of the most basic needs — a full belly and full health — never depend on your NP balance. The waters are always flowing. Bring your battered palz by and send them home restored.
