May 2026 Update: Continue with Google and a Platform-Wide Reliability Pass
Not every update is about a flashy new game. This month's release is about trust and smoothness — a faster way to sign in, a fix for something you may have actually noticed with your companions, and a platform-wide reliability pass that tightens security and clears out a long list of edge cases behind the scenes. Here's everything new in NuPalz for May 2026.
Continue with Google
Signing into NuPalz just got easier. You'll now see a “Continue with Google” button on the sign-in window — one tap, no new password to create or remember.
- One button for both — the same “Continue with Google” works whether you're signing in or creating a brand-new account.
- New accounts still get the welcome bonus — sign up with Google and you start with the usual 500 NP and 10 PP.
- Existing logins are untouched — your email-and-password sign-in keeps working exactly as before.
- Your Google password is never shared with NuPalz — sign-in is verified securely by Google.
If you've been meaning to make an account, this is the lowest-friction way in. One tap and you're adopting your first pal.
Companion Care That Actually Sticks
We tracked down and fixed a genuinely annoying bug. In some cases, feeding a companion, using the Treat Box, or running a seasonal full restore looked like it didn't take — your pal's hunger or happiness would slide right back down a few minutes later.
The cause was a timing issue: those restore actions weren't resetting the stat's decay timer, so the background system that slowly lowers stats over time treated the restore as if it never happened and quietly undid it. That's now fixed across feeding, the Treat Box, and seasonal full restores — when you top your companion up, it stays topped up.
If you want a refresher on building a bond with your palz, our guide to how companion chat works is a good place to start.
Guild Stats You Can Trust
Guild members, your numbers are accurate again. Battle wins, EXP earned, and games played are now tallied with atomic updates, so a count can't be dropped when several actions happen at the same moment. Guild totals and weekly tallies now reflect what your guild actually did — which matters when you're chasing a leaderboard spot.
Security and Stability Hardening
Most of this month's work happened under the hood, in a comprehensive platform audit focused on reliability and security:
- Stronger account protection — failed-login attempts are now counted reliably, so the lockout that guards your account against password guessing works exactly as intended.
- Safer transactions — the NP Bank, loan payments, and Premium Point purchases gained extra safeguards against rare timing issues when requests overlap.
- Frontend hardening — additional protections across the dashboard, Battlegrounds, and companion screens against malicious input.
- A bigger safety net — the release is backed by an expanded automated test suite, now over 2,000 tests, that runs on every deploy to catch regressions before they reach you.
None of these change how the games play. They're the quiet kind of work that keeps NuPalz dependable as it grows — and we also tidied up the dashboard tutorial, whose final step had its buttons crowding the edge of the window on some screens.
What This Means for You
Nothing you have to do — just a smoother NuPalz. Try the new Google sign-in next time you log in, top up your companions knowing it'll stick, and check your guild stats with confidence.
And if you missed last month's bigger change — the new Gemz currency and full odds disclosure across every chance-based game — catch up in our April 2026 update. The throughline is the same one guiding this release: a platform you can trust.
