March 2026: Spring Into New Adventures
February was one of our biggest months ever — Nutopia Republica v2.0, Phantom Shift, the 8-tier subscription rebalance, and a complete companion art overhaul. Now that the dust has settled, March is about making the most of everything that's here. Here's what to explore, what to revisit, and what the team has on deck.
Games You Should Be Playing Right Now
With 16 games in the arcade, it's easy to fall into a routine of playing the same two or three. Here are the ones that deserve another look this month — whether you've never tried them or haven't played them since they were updated.
Phantom Shift
Teleport through walls, dodge the Sentinel
Nutopia Republica
City builder with 4 difficulty modes
NuPalz Chess
Strategy with species as pieces
Drowla Chase
Fast-paced survival running
If you tried Phantom Shift once and moved on, you missed the depth. The procedurally generated mazes mean no two runs are alike, and the Shadow Sentinel's A* pathfinding gets genuinely challenging on Hard difficulty. The shift mechanic — teleporting through walls on a cooldown — rewards planning over reflexes. Try Hard mode with a goal of collecting all pickups in a single run. It's a different game at that level.
The v2.0 overhaul added a policy and edict system that most players haven't fully explored. Setting your tax rate, enacting Free Healthcare, or triggering Martial Law during a crisis creates genuine strategic decisions with real consequences for your approval rating and treasury. Pair that with the adjacency bonus system (parks next to housing, factories away from residential zones) and you've got a city builder with actual depth.
The newest addition to the arcade is a full chess game where every piece is a different NuPalz species. Light species — Celestia, Lumora, Ferrox, Prismu, Flicko, and Luma — fight for you, while dark species like Shadelle, Umbrex, and Drowla command the opposing side. You're playing against your own companion, which makes each match feel personal. Three AI difficulty levels scale from casual to genuinely challenging, and the scoring system rewards efficient play: win with fewer moves on Hard for Diamond-tier NP payouts.
NP Tip
Nutopia Republica's tiered scoring system rewards high performance. Hitting "El Presidente" tier earns 5,000 NP per game — one of the highest single-game payouts in the arcade. Start on Easy to learn the adjacency system, then push for high scores on Standard or Hard.
Getting More From Your Subscription
The February rebalance expanded subscriptions to 8 tiers. If you haven't revisited your tier since the change, here's what you might be leaving on the table:
- Daily PP allowance: Every paid tier now includes Premium Points each month. Even Starter ($2.99/mo) gives you roughly 180 PP — enough for a couple of Gacha pulls or marketplace items.
- Bank interest: From +5% at Starter to +35% at Legend, your stored NP grows automatically. If you're sitting on a large NP balance, the interest bonus alone can offset a chunk of the subscription cost.
- NP multiplier: Higher tiers earn more NP from every game. At Legend (1.5x), a 1,000 NP game payout becomes 1,500. Over a month of active play, that adds up fast.
- AI companion chats: Each tier includes daily AI companion conversations. If you haven't tried chatting with your NuPalz, the AI is powered by the same model across all tiers — the difference is how many chats you get per day.
Value Tip
If you're between tiers, check the annual pricing. Annual plans save roughly two months of cost. Explorer ($6.99/mo or $69.99/yr) hits the sweet spot for most active players — 360 PP/month, 1.2x NP multiplier, and 3 AI chats daily.
Companion Care Refresh
With the companion art upgrades from February, now is a great time to revisit your lineup. Every one of NuPalz's 70 species has updated art across all evolution stages — featuring face maturity progression and species-specific personality details that weren't there before.
If you've been focused on a few core companions, consider these strategies:
- Check evolution readiness. Some companions might be closer to their next stage than you realize. Visit the companion page and review evolution requirements.
- Diversify your team. Type matchups matter in Battlegrounds. If your team is heavy on one element, consult the elemental type guide and train a counter-type companion.
- Try the marketplace. The updated crafting material badges make it easier to find what you need. If you've been avoiding the marketplace, the marketplace guide is worth a read.
Blog Highlights You Might Have Missed
The blog launched in February and we've been publishing four articles a week. If you haven't been checking in, here are the ones worth catching up on:

What the Team Is Working On
We don't announce features until they're ready, but we can share where the team's energy is going this month:
- Game balance: Ongoing tuning across all 16 games to keep NP earning rates fair and rewarding. If something feels off, our balance data catches it.
- Quality-of-life improvements: Small but meaningful upgrades to navigation, loading times, and mobile responsiveness. The kind of changes you feel more than you see.
- Community features: We're exploring ways to bring trainers closer together. More on this when we have something concrete to show.
- Seasonal content: Spring is a natural time for new experiences. Keep an eye on the blog and in-game announcements.
We don't ship features based on hype timelines. Everything launches when it's genuinely ready. That said, March is shaping up to be another active month.
